It is the Light that shines within you and it is not dependent on anything outside. Search for this Light is the Divinity. What is Karma (good action)? What is Akarma (bad action)? What is Vikarma (the specific allotted task of a person)? To know this is Swadhyaya.

Vedic Farm - Chaitanya Farm - Dahagaon
The Vedic farm is situated on the bank of River Barvi and comes in Tal in India. Kalyan at a village known as Dahagaon. Kalyan is a place of historic significance since long and there are various tourist / picnic spots in the vicinity viz. Ganesh Temple of Titwala, Temple of Vaishnodevi, Tabore Bhawan – (a faith healing centre), Temple of Vithal Rakhumai at Shahad (Birla Temple), Malang Garh, Malshej Ghat Picnic Spot (particularly during monsoon days) and Barvi Dam. Therefore the guests who come to visit our farm can very well plan their visits to these attractive tourist places / picnic spots which are within the radius of 50 Kms. from our farm. Therefore it is also being developed as Agri-Tourism Centre.

Vedic Farm - OBJECTIVES
The future activities of the farm - objectives :
1. Improvement in live stock - Integration of cow family with the farm to be completed with indigenous cow breed "Geer". This would mean phased replacement of cross breed cows with pure breed of Geer cows. This development is required for Panchgavya application for soil and foliar spray on regular basis as also for making available pure cow ghee for Agnihotra performance.
2. Holistic approach for production of food - The nutritional security along with food security can only come by following agricultural practices which will help in harnessing the cosmic forces. The spiritual dimensions in the agriculture need to be further explored. Rudolf Steiners's lectures in 1924 were aptly published as a book entitled, "Spiritual Foundations for the renewal of Agriculture". In respect of the food production he had said, "So long as one feeds on food from unhealthy soil the spirit will lack the stamina to free itself from the prison of the body".
3. The agronomic practices to be improved to enhance the influence of cosmic forces - This would mean following up of Bio-dynamic practices and Homa farming practices. This fusion of agronomic practices will be of great significance since 70% of the nutrients or inputs are taken by plants from the atmosphere.
4. Organic Farming Training Centre and Agri-eco Tourism Centre - To be established to spread the message of Organic Farming based on Bio-dymanic and Homa farming practices and other agronomic practices described in Vedic / Ancient Indian Agricultural Texts which have relevance for modern agriculture for improvement in crop yield and quality of produce and also to bring in reality the sustainable agriculture.

Krushibhushan Award
Anand Gaikwad and Dr. Snehalata Gaikwad honored with the title of 'Krushi Bhushan' for their contribution to Vedic farming.
The Award was handed over by the Hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra - Shri Prithviraj Chavan. Shri Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil - Minster of Agriculture and Shri Chagan Bhujbal - Palak Mantri of Nasik were also present at the function. For Organic Farming in all eight individual farmers and one NGO were selected for final award amongst all nomination proposals received from the entire Maharashtra State.

Vedic Farm - VASU BARAS
As a part of integration of Cow Family with Homa Farm and our Home, we celebrate ," Vasu Baras" every year by worshipping cows and their family on the 12th Day of Ashwin month Krishna Paksha as per Hindu calendar. Usually Deepavali comes in the calendar month of October/ November.Traditionally Deepavali begins with this day of Vasu Baras ,by performing Pooja of ,"Go Dhan" i.e. by worshipping cows, as earlier the prosperity was measured in terms of nos of cows one possessed. We all know that no Yajnya can be performed without the offerings of cow-products to Agni. Therefore quite naturally Vedic way of life gave recognition, respect and importance to the cow family.
We celebrate Vasu Baras at the farm by bathing and garlanding cows and offering them sweet delicacy of "' ,Puran Poli "( A typical Maharshtrian recipe generally prepared on auspicious days). We started celebrating Vasu Baras from the year 2003 onwards,i.e. the year we started maintaining cows at the farm.We realised the importance of integration of cows with the farm for organic farming after studying Biodynamic Farming. We perform Vyahruti Homa and other simple Havan. Our relationship with Homa Farm and cow family has become more meaningful and enjoyable.The process of integration of cows with the farm gives us a spiritual dimension to bring about completeness and mental peace and satisfaction.
